3. Double-Blind Peer Review Process
AJES is committed to maintaining a rigorous, fair, and objective peer-review process to ensure the scientific quality of published articles.
Initial screening: The Editorial Office will check the manuscript for formatting compliance, ethical requirements, and similarity index. Manuscripts that meet the basic criteria will be evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or an Editorial Board member to determine whether they should proceed to peer review.
Independent peer review: AJES applies a double-blind peer review process, where reviewers do not know the authors’ identities and vice versa. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are not members of the Editorial Board.
Editorial decision: Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editorial Board will make one of the following decisions: (a) Accept; (b) Accept with minor revisions; (c) Major revision and resubmission for a second review round; or (d) Reject.
Response timeline: Authors will receive editorial decisions and reviewer comments within 90 days from the receipt of a valid manuscript. Authors are given up to 90 days to revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments.
